Last year’s debut Ayclive Fest was a music extravaganza celebrating Newton Aycliffe’s 75th anniversary in style. On July 29th 2023, crowds gathered at OakLeaf Sports Field for the unforgettable 11-hour festival.

Headliners including the legendary 90s bands Cast and Dodgy rocked the stage alongside local faves Sound Divide, whipping the crowd into a frenzy with covers of Kate Bush and Blondie hits. Other top acts like Another Crisis, The Breakfast Club, Sleeze Sisters, Gangsters of Ska and Northern Soul Elite completed the incredible lineup.

Party people grabbed drinks from the buzzing bar and boogied down to the diverse mix of genres. Food stalls provided sustenance with tasty treats.

Ayclive Fest’s affordable tickets, family focus and friendly vibe made it the ultimate community celebration. Attendees travelled from surrounding counties and beyond, while Newton Aycliffe locals relished the festivities honouring their hometown.
